Act 3: Motte Concert & Outfit Inspiration for Concerts

I had a blast attending Act III: Motte Concert at Inglewood, The Forum on July 16, 2017. Kwon Ji Young’s USA & Canada Tour has still not ended so its not too late to still catch the show for yourself. Finding the perfect outfit for a concert or any event can be stressful because you want to look your best and not out of place, as well as, let’s not forget comfort for style. Here are a couple of rules I follow when I go to an event:

Outer Wear:

I always recommend bringing an outerwear to these events because you never know, it might get a little chilly or you could be like me, who likes to wander inside and outside (to grab drinks 🍹 from the bar for example) and the heat from the stadium and the chill from the night breeze is a terrible combination for a cold in the morning. Easy solution is to have a jacket, cardigan or light outerwear to keep by your side. I wore a suede, yellow biker jacket to this event and it was perfect 👌

Tops:

This is the part of styling left to your creative devices. For this concert I wanted to vibe off his general style and so decided on a nude mesh bodysuit paired with a blush pink bralette. The outerwear came in handy for me because my top was very thin. But for any event your top can be anything from a blouse to bodysuit to simple tee to tanki to anything you want because if you get cold you can always rely on your handy outerwear to keep you warm but not relinquish the style you had in mind.

Bottoms:

I usually like to wear anything high-waisted because to me that is comfort. To this event I wore my American Apparel High-Waisted Skinny Jeans in Blue Indigo. It’s very tight-fitting in a way where it fits my body like a glove type of feel. I noticed a lot of people wearing high-waisted shorts but I tend to run a little bit cold so I wore jeans. The preference is up to you depending on how chilly you tend to get.

Accessories:

I recommend a shoulder bag so you don’t have to worry about where your bag is! I took my black mini Aldo shoulder bag because it’s compact and fits the necessity. The necessities being: keys, makeup (lipstick, compact cushion, chapstick) cash/card, and ID.

Shoes:

I wore mesh black booties from La Moda and my feet were fine from dancing and prancing around throughout the concert. But my date @starry_night88 had to change into her platform gold sandals because the knee high stilettos she wore began  pinching her toes. If you wanted to wear heels I’d recommend booties with a platform heel or block heel. I think stilettos put to much pressure on the toes and the balancing act on the heels could be too much to bear as the event carries on into the night.
