This was my first video log and it was a trip to the Malibu Pier where the restaurant/cafe Malibu Farm was located. I went with my brother and mother to taste test as well as explore the scenic picturesque pier. There were fishermen’s there and a couple of people caught fishes on their hook. The fishes looked shiny and silver as one girl squealed with joy when she felt her line tug as she baited a fish. I watched with mirrored excitement as she pulled her catch up and saw a shiny, silver fish emerge. I didn’t think anyone could or would catch anything, but as I was walking up and down the pier a couple of folks were able to catch a bite on a Sunday night. The sun didn’t set until 7pm that night and we were on the pier by 6am. There was a light warm breeze and the weather was an ideal summer evening.
Malibu Farm had a warm, homely vibe to the restaurant. I loved the contrast with the white wood and green plants creating a welcoming natural setting. We were seated next to the window so we could stay warm, but still enjoy the beautiful beach view. The servers were nice but I would definitely recommend reserving a table on yelp or by calling the restaurant, especially if you wanted to go on the weekend. I reserved on Yelp Reservations for 7pm and it took me only 3 minutes to do it. I recommend reserving your table because you get notified via text when your table is ready with no hassle. Enjoy!
